Artists’ Reception: Saturday, September 2, 2006, 5 - 8 PM
Through September 29, 2006

View Exhibition

The nude, one of the most explored genres within the history of art, is a subject matter that is both incredibly challenging and highly problematic for the contemporary artist. The nude remains an important subject in contemporary art and has become a vehicle for complex social, societal and self-image issues.  This exhibition will feature renowned figurative artists Robert Birbeck, Larry Charles, B. Nicole Klassen, Shawn Lütz, Michael Riddet, Robert K. Roark, Anita Winstanley Roark, James Rodgers, Vincent Russo, Peter Stone and Cynthia Vascak.  Through their fine art paintings, sculpture, and photographs these eleven artists will invite the viewer to discover how the beauty and form of the contemporary nude can evoke riveting, powerful and thought-provoking images that add something new and fresh to the history of this provocative subject.

"A MIDSUMMER NIGHT" GALLERY GROUP EXHIBITION
Artists’ Reception: Saturday, August 5, 2006, 5 - 8 PM
Through August 26, 2006

Like Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, our gallery artists will focus on the beautiful and often mystical qualities of a midsummer evening and the summer solstice in their paintings, a theme that evokes thoughts of love, dreams, and the stuff of both - the creative imagination itself.  This creative imagination is in tune with nature and confers the blessings of nature upon mankind.  Within their paintings our masterful artists will capture the creativity of this celebration of summer and the bounty it produces, from radiant flowers and herbs, to still waters and rippling brooks and the magic and mysterious moods that it evokes.
