Mr. Lütz was born in Rantual IL.
on September 3, 1964. Being the son of an air force pilot, he spent his
formative years crisscrossing the globe and living in such diverse places
as Manilla, the Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand as well as many of the
states of the continental United States.
Although never formally trained in the fine arts,
outside of public school art classes, Mr. Lütz received his art education
through trial and error, a lot of experimentation and his fair share of
lost time and ruined and half-finished paintings.

Surprisingly, oil painting was not Mr. Lütz's
first career choice. Originally endeavoring to be an automotive technician,
Mr. Lütz made the transition
to professional painting in the
early 90's and came onto the arts scene with an invitation into the Cummaquid Fine Arts "Figure
Show", the Cahoon Museum "Doorways" exhibit, as well as a one man show
at the Cahoon Museum. In 1997 Mr. Lütz's work was featured in an article
on "Up and Coming Artists" in "Cape Cod Life" magazine. In 2002 Mr. Lütz
will be featured in an article in Cape Arts Review.
As a self taught artist, Mr. Lütz has acquired,
in a relatively short time, a technical understanding of his medium that
is almost difficult to grasp. His attention to detail, composition and
dramatic lighting captures the romance and drama of the scene. His work,
while pleasing to the eye, stirs the emotions and stimulates our every
sense of what beauty is. These exquisite works of art require several
months to complete, allowing Mr. Lütz to only produce approximately 10 paintings a
year.
Currently there is a waiting list for Mr. Lütz's original work.
Mr. Lütz is scheduled to have available for an unveiling a new original in 2004
